Swami Paramananda Giri ji Maharaj was oriented towards renunciation since his childhood. In 1956 Swami ji received his “Sanyas Deeksha” from his guru Swami Akhandanandji Maharaj. He worked relentlessly for the welfare of the society. He is renowned for transmitting transcendental consciousness among seekers of truth thereby leading them towards the stage of self-realization. He continues to be a torchbearer of many projects towards the upliftment of the society.
Swami Parmananda ji Maharaj is considered one of the most effective orators of his times. His conceptual grasp of the ancient texts is extremely clear and he discusses the Vedantas with a veracity that allows even laymen to feel convinced about the underlying messages and teachings. His fame has crossed the boundaries and he has been invited to the United Nations to speak at the 1st Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual leaders on August 28-31, 2000. In 2001 and 2002, he visited several places in USA and enlightened a large number of devotees and seekers.

Didi Maa’s life is a life of purpose. She is the creator of Vatsalyagram – the only social intervention of its kind in the entire world, combining three different welfare programs (child care; women protection & empowerment; and care of the elderly) into one mutually-complementing program. With Vatsalyagram at Vrindavan (U.P.), Sijai & Omkareshwar (M.P.), Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand), Barmer (Rajasthan), hundreds of disadvantaged children, women & community members are being provided a better life, thereby fostering the national agenda of inclusive development.
