A non-profit, non-governmental and independent charity organization registered under the Societies Registration Act-1860, Param Shakti Peeth (PSP) since its inception in 1992 has been working to mainstream the “marginalized” members of the society (prioritizing children & women) and mitigate other socio-economic inequalities prevailing in India that are detrimental to inclusive development and also impede the growth of the nation as a whole.
The collective experience, insight, and diverse perspectives of the founders have been forward the foundation of our belief that the welfare and empowerment of children and women, especially in marginalized communities, are critical to bridging social inequalities and reducing poverty. They have also been the source of our holistic approach to development and the building blocks needed to fulfill the central goal of the Foundation.
It is common knowledge that the benefits of the nation’s growth have not reached out to a vast section of society. These “marginalized” members form a sizable part of our total population and unless they are not included in the mainstream economy, the growth of our nation shall remain lopsided and, therefore, unsustainable. Sharing this common concern was a group of people from diverse backgrounds and professional disciplines who then founded charitable institutions PSP to serve as a vehicle for `inclusive growth’ by bringing the “isolated” members into the ambit of the mainstream economy.
