The Armed Forces Flag Day is commemorated in India on the 7th of December every year. This ceremony has been organised since 1949 to remember all the Indian soldiers, sailors, as well as air force staffers who have battled to safeguard the nation.
A noteworthy activity during this day is the collection of donations from the public which will be utilised for enhancing the well-being of the Members Of the armed forces, notably the three components of the Indian Armed Forces – the Army, Air Force, as well as the Navy. Professionals from all these three departments also organise events that highlight to the people how they safeguard the country.
Throughout this particular day of commemoration, the Indian Army staff arranges numerous social events, festivities, and performances that are intended at spreading awareness as to how the Indian people are secured and how their security is guaranteed. The Indian Armed force hoist the National flag with the colours of red, light blue, and dark blue which depicts the three components of the Indian Armed forces.
The Indians demonstrate their love and respect for the National military troops by contributing aid, all utilized for the wellbeing of these individuals.
Since India earned its freedom, the Government of India intended to promote the interest of the national military forces. On August 28, 1949, a commission under the defence minister established the 7th of December as Flag Day. The day sought to deliver little flags to the people of the country which they may purchase for a modest price. Over time, Flag Day became a prominent festival in the country. The people wanted to express their thanks to the individuals who safeguard the nation and their families.
Why Commemorate Armed Forces Flag Day?
The following are the primary arguments why you should attend the commemoration of the Armed Forces Flag Day:
- To Support the Rehabilitation of the Armed Forces
The very first cause why you should commemorate this day is that with the contributions given on this day, you may support in a significant manner the rehab of the military forces. They are the ones who safeguard the nation by battling unrest and extremism. Several of them put their lives at risk. They become incapacitated when they lose their limbs, develop infections due to the toxic items they are introduced to, and many even offer supreme sacrifice. For all those who survive but require rehabilitation, the money that you provide can support them.
- To Support the Nation
It’d also be excellent to commemorate this day to demonstrate your respect for your nation. If you express your love for the military who fight with their life safeguarding the nation, you are also indirectly displaying your respect for the nation.
A soldier joins the force, gets into combat mode, fights, and comes back, either as a winner or in the tricolour. In case he returns well, he is marched onto another combative role. In case he offers supreme sacrifice, he leaves behind a family to look after. He leaves behind a story to hear about, to speak about, and a story to remember.
Nobody can wipe off the tears of the family of a martyr but one can offer them support to lead a life with no shortage. The children of a martyr should get Quality education. The parents and wife should get the respect they deserve. We donate no money but their share of esteem, their share of the respect which they deserve because one has laid off his life to the nation, for the safety of fellow countrymen.
In contrary to this, this is our moral and social duty to spread awareness about their welfare. After all, they deserve what they sacrifice, i.e., Respect and Honour because someone has earned martyr hood.
In the capacity of a social organization, working for the welfare of all, VatsalyaGram has stepped up to encourage people to donate and spread awareness about them. In the capacity of a social welfare organization, we share stories of those brave hearts among all we come across. We celebrate this day in Samvid Gurukulam and Donate.
As patriotic citizens, we stand with our forces in every moment. As a social institution, we wish and pray for the protection of our soldiers. We make them feel that you are the brother of every sister of this country, at times when they are away from their families because they are trying to protect the country in the remote deserts and cold mountains.
This is exactly what Vatsalyagram does every year at the holy festival of Rakshabandhan by visiting the borders.
Not only this, as an educational institute Samvid Gurukulam, Nalagarh is educating students with a mission to make them employable in the armed forces. Vatsalyagram strives to educate the children of those who sacrifice their lives on the line of duty, patrolling and safeguarding the borders in its Vrindavan or Nalagarh campus.
We, at VatsalyaGram, are doing our bit. You do yours. Donate now to make them realise their significance in our lives.
India is known as the country of Gandhi. The man who teaches the aspects of Ahimsa and Truth to the world. His ideologies of Non-Violence made him what he is today. Indian society is, therefore, known as a peace-loving and conflict-avoiding society as a whole.
India is known for the valour and courage as well. The British won various battes in World War just because of the Indian soldiers. Afghanistan is known to be the ‘Graveyard of Kingdoms’ but Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji has conquered Afghans too. This is the level of strength, courage and bravery indian society possess.
It was way back in 1971, when Pakistani Army started torturing and molesting bengali society in present day Bangladesh because bengalis wanted to get rid of the imposed urdu domination. They wanted to save their language and culture and because of the rigorous tortures and injustices prevailing in the Bangladesh, resulted into the influx of huge number of bangladeshi populace into indian territories, due to the porous borders.
On the night of 3rd December 1971, Pakistan started bombing 11 Indian Airforce stations. Admiral SM Nanda was seething with rage. Inside the strategy room of the naval headquarters, The strategic team planned the best of the modern day attack in the recent times. To cut the connect of west command with the eastern command, Karachi would be the optimal subject to attack and ensure blockade of the Pakisatani Navy.
As per the plan, three Vidyut-class missiles INS Nipat, INS Veer and INS Nirghat got deployed in Okha (Gujarat) and the fleet was extended to outfit each of the missile ships with four Styx missiles apiece. Besides these, 2 Arnala class submarine corvettes – INS Kiltan plus INS Katchall – as well as a marine tanker was introduced to the fleet. The fleet reached Karachi and bombarded Karachi to ashes. It is said that after that successful attack, Pakistan’s economic capital burnt for seven long days.
It is the success that Navy achieved in bombing down Karachi, we commemorate December 4th as Indian Navy Day.
Indian Navy Day is honoured by a Beating Retreat and Tattoo Ceremonies at the Gateway of India. Several activities like sprints, competitions etc are arranged to make the public aware of the significance of the Indian Navy.
We at Vatsalya Parivar pay our tribute to the Bravehearts. Jai Hind.
God – The almighty tries and tests us with the testing times. Tough exams makes us strong and fine tunes us to get prepared for the hardships of battles. This is a general story of a normal story and then, there are lives which became inspiration for all of us. Richa Parmanand is one such beautiful tale of determination and enthusiasm. Overcoming the hurdles with the support of family with no definitions of a family.
Richa Parmanand was a tiny toddler when she was handed over to VatsalyaGram in Vrindavan. She wasn’t even aware of the meanings of family when she got a family in VatsalyaGram. Unlike most of us, she grew up in a family where the definitions of family breaks the stipulated meanings of a conventional family. She became a member of a family of mothers, siblings and grannies, with whom she could learn the true meanings of life and love, care, togetherness and being happy.
She grew up in a family which is headed by PP Didi Maa Ji. She completed her schooling from the inbuilt Samvid Gurukulam where she learnt the chapters of school curriculum as well as the moral values from Sanskaram classes by Didi Maa Ji.
As a tradition to grow children in VatsalyaGram, Richa also pursued her higher education and completed her law degree and passed the All India Bar Examination to practice her career of choice. She is willing to fight for the rights of the people. She has became an Advocate.
This is what a true value system like VatsalyaGram can change. Richa is an advocate today. Her sister Riddhi is a practicing medial practitioner who cleared MBBS from BHU. She is married happily.
This is VatsalyaGram. Changing lives, making lives of the destitute beautiful and mainstream, forever.
The eye camps in India have a significant impact on the lives of poor people. The services are free, which means the poor don’t have to spend money on medical fees, which are often quite costly. Eye health is one of the most important factors when it comes to a person’s quality of life. The ability to see is what allows us to navigate our world, and the loss of this ability can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life.
The human body is the miracle of nature. It has to be treated with equal care and concern. The eyes are one of the most delicate organs of the body. The eye is the window to the world.
One of the biggest problems in India is the lack of medical facilities available to people. Eye care is one of the major concerns as many people cannot afford to visit a doctor for regular checkups.
For all these sections of society, VatsalyaGram is offering help. Free eye camps are a usual thing for VatsalyaGram since so long. One of the best othalomologist, Dr. Shyam Agrawal used to perform medical checkups and surgical procedures in VatsalyaGram and thousands have been benefitted. Since long, Dr. Agarwal has organized free eye camps across India. These camps provide thousands of people, especially the poor, with eye care and surgeries. The significance of these services can hardly be overstated. For many poor people, vision is the only sense that allows them to function in the world.
In the year 2008, the World Health Organisation (WHO) launched a global initiative called the “VISION 2020: The Right to Sight”. The aim of this program was to eliminate avoidable blindness in all countries around the world by the year 2020. According to WHO, blindness is defined as visual impairment that cannot be improved with usual eyeglasses or contact lenses. For those who can read and those who cannot this short essay is an appeal to the Indian Medical Association and the Central and State Governments to pay urgent attention to the need of the hour in India. The situation is very grave. Let us do something immediately. We would be failing in our duty as a human being and as a citizen of this great country if we, as a society do not attempt to draw the attention of the Indian Medical Association and the Central and State Governments to a very serious problem.
As an attempt to this serious issue, we at VatsalyaGram, are arranging a free medical eye camp for two days, i.e., 10th and 11th of December. This initiative is a regular exercise in the premises of VatsalyaGram by the inspiration of PP Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji. She is the one who comprehends the basic requirements of human life and her attempt to substitute oldage homes and orphanages by the concept of ‘Vatsalya Families’ is applauded by one and all. Her attempt to reach out to the very backward citizen of this country makes her highly respectable across the sections of the society.
This eye camp will last for two days where a specialist team of ophthalmologists from Mumbai under the supervision of senior ophthalmologist, Dr. Agrawal will be performing the surgical procedures and distribute free spectacles and medicines with free consultation.
Let’s make it BIG. Let’s make it a huge Success. Gift the sight to those who can not afford it.
India is a country with oldest civilization. The age old rituals, religious beliefs and traditional customs are carried forward by the old age populace. These people are embibing themselves in educating the moral and cultural heritage of this country through religious stories. This is side one of the story. The other side of this story is not so good looking.
A majority of indian women are getting ostracised. As more as 2.3 million women in India are abandoned. Their plight starts at an oldage where they need social security with factors like food, access to healthcare and shelter in bad shape.

Vrindavan is considered as the supreme abode, situated on the top of spirituality. There is also a self-supporting village, full of love, redefining humanism in this pilgrimage city of devotion. This village of love is known as Vatsalyagram. Here nature flourishes, blossoms, and smiles. Spirituality finds new opportunities here. The Ganges of Sanskars flows in which civilization is alive in its ancient form. The weak find power here.
Vatsalyagram is the embodiment of the ideological welfare of Param Pujya Didi Maa Ritambara Ji. Many service undertakings operating here have been conceived by Param Pujya Didi Maa Ji for the service and welfare of mankind. This unimaginable form of service can also be considered as an attempt to enlarge and awaken the feeling of welfare in society. Among these service projects, there is a project which is being built for the mental upliftment of future generations, to develop the spirit of universal equality, and for the realization of its glorious history, whose purpose is as much social guidance as it is spiritual. This project is known as Sarvamangala Peetham whose construction work is going on.
Concept of Sat, Raja and Tama
At the core of the concept of the creation of Sarvamangala Peetham are the three modes of Sat, Raja, and Tama. The creation of the universe has been done from these three Gunas and the construction of Maa Sarvamangala Peetham is also to make the general public aware of Indian architecture. Maa Sarvamangala Peetham will be established not only as a Shaktipeeth but also as a historical place. This temple will have three domes that will reflect the qualities of Sat, Raja, and Tama.
Spirituality & Science: Together
Along with being an important center of spirituality, Maa Sarvamangala Peetham will also be an important center of science. Historical facts will be displayed here by many projects. In this way, this Shaktipeeth will also be the curiosity center for the science trainees along with the devotees.
Picturesque atmosphere, diversity of sentiments, and spiritual peace
Maa Sarvamangala Peetham is being established in a quiet, idyllic, and picturesque place like Vatsalyagram, which will be a spiritual center as well as a training site for history in the coming times. The general public will be made aware of the unresolved principles of religion, culture, and holy Sanatan Civilization.
The establishment of Maa Sarvamangala Peetham is not just the establishment of a religious place, it is the arrival of the auspicious welfare form of Maa Sarvamangala. of the global purification of human civilization. of invocation at the ideological level. Maa Sarvamangala Shaktipeetham will be the place to assimilate refined expressions.
Maa Sarvmangala Peetham is going to add value to our lives. In order to retain our cultural heritage, we need to preserve such places of high spiritual significance and support them as much as possible.

Where Women are honoured, divinity blossoms there, and where ever women are dishonoured, all action no matter how noble it may be, remains unfruitful.
India has been a society where womanhood has been celebrated for ages. In Indian culture, we worship Navratri in which people invite small daughters and worship them, greet them and seek their blessings. It is believed that by doing so, everything around will streamline easily. Things became easier for people and this is how from a very early age, daughters and sisters are celebrated.
There’s another part of the story as well. Women and crime are associated. The Crime bureau’s records are still talking about those who do not believe in the same philosophy and tend to behave abnormally against women. Despite a large number of such people, some NGOs like Vatsalyagram as well as government machinery are working hard to uplift the lifestyle of women. Vatsalyagram and other NGOs are highly appreciated for their selfless service to women but it is equally important to make people aware of the administrative reforms/schemes available for women.
The ideas of gender equality are, in fact, incorporated in our Constitution. The Indian Constitution guarantees women’s equality and authorises the government to implement affirmative discrimination measures in their favour.
Furthermore, women faced several challenges in the past, including domestic violence, acid assaults, rapes, early marriage, domestic work, and many others.
The government and the public sector are playing a vital role in ensuring women’s empowerment by enabling their wellbeing in numerous areas. There is no denying the importance of women’s empowerment in the empowerment of the nation.
A number of programs have been brought out in recent years to empower women to be independent in their life, whether it’s delivering a free cooking gas cylinder and education programs or enabling women to utilize technology.
For the welfare of children and women, the union government has set up a separate and dedicated ministry for the welfare and protection of constitutional rights of women and various plans and schemes are running for their upliftment.
Let us have a look at the policies:
On January 22, 2015, this initiative was introduced. The major goal of this initiative is to raise awareness and improve the effectiveness of female child protection services. The original goal of this yojana was to address the falling Child Sex Ratio (CSR), but it has now expanded to encompass gender-biased sex-selective eliminations, as well as the promotion of girl child education, survival, and protection.
In 2017, the government established the Mahila Shakti Kendra to provide rural women with opportunities for employment, skill development, digital literacy, health, and nutrition. In the 115 most underserved districts, this will be accomplished through community participation and student volunteers.
Through training and capacity building, each Kendra would create a platform for rural women to reach out to the government and claim their rights. It is effective at the Block, State, District, and National levels.
The government launched Mahila-E-Haat in 2016 within the Ministry of Women and Child Development’s jurisdiction. It is a monolingual internet marketing platform that uses technology to help ambitious female entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) promote their goods and services.
This stage is open to any Indian woman over the age of 18 and has a quick sign-in process and accessible payment options. Everything may be done on a mobile device without the need for any additional intermediaries.
The Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, which is run by the government, works on saving initiatives for female children and falls under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. You may open an account at any Indian Post office or authorized commercial bank branch.
A parent or guardian, on the other hand, can open the account at any point between the birth of the female child and the age of ten.
One of the major goals of this program is to encourage community engagement by involving Student Volunteers in rural women’s empowerment. In addition, to improve women’s quality of life. Starting with the rescuing and survival of a female child, this strategy will improve her elementary and secondary education, as well as her general quality of life.
This program offers women a secure and cheap hostel. The scheme’s primary goal is to increase the availability of safe and convenient housing for working women. It also provides childcare services for their children in rural, urban, semi-urban, and even metropolitan locations where women may find work.
This is the major strategy for women’s universalization, which was announced in 2015. The hotline is designed to give quick and emergency assistance to women who have been victims of violence 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This organization provides a toll-free, 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week telephone service to women who are victims of domestic abuse and are looking for help and information. Furthermore, it gives information on suitable support services and government programs for women who have been victims of abuse.
This program was created in 2017 to provide women with partial pay replacement throughout their pregnancy. It also gives moms a financial prize of Rs 6,000 for the birth of their first child. The program offers monetary rewards to pregnant and nursing moms who improve their health and nutrition.
This program assists women who have been victims of domestic abuse in both public and private settings. It also provides rapid access to a variety of institutions, including medical, legal, psychiatric, and counseling help, in the event of an emergency or non-emergency.
This project attempts to give a rapid answer for women who have been sexually harassed at work. You can make a complaint about Sexual Harassment at Workplace on SHe-Box, and your case will be sent straight to the state body with jurisdiction to act quickly on the issue.
